How far in advance should we book our wedding photographer?
As soon as you have yor wedding date and venue, we'd recommend reaching out. Popular dates specially spring and fall saturdays can book 6 to18 months in advance. If your wedding is sooner, don't worry it's always worth checking our availability. We'd love to hear about your plans and see if we're available for your special day.
We're nervous in front of the camera. Can you help us?
Absolutely and you’re not alone! In fact, this is one of the most common things couples tell us before their engagement session or wedding.
You don’t need to know how to pose or worry about looking “perfect.” We’ll guide you with natural direction, simple prompts, and plenty of encouragement. The first few minutes are always a warm-up. As the session goes on, the nerves fade, your confidence grows, and before you know it, you’re simply enjoying the moment together.
One of our favorite things to say is, “Just pretend we’re not here.” It usually gets a laugh because, of course, we’re standing right there! But that little joke helps everyone relax and reminds you that the best photos happen when you’re simply being yourselves.
What is your photography style?
Documentary, cinematic, natural storytelling or a blend. Documentary style- think of it like a fly on a wall. A completely hands off approach where the flow of your wedding day is never interrupted Cinematic style - candid, editorial, high fashion poses focuses on drama, mood, capturing movements (action) and real unprompted interactions. Who doesn't like a look away pose looking past the camera or at each other. Natural storytelling- candids, capturing the mess, the tears and the laughs while seamlessly pivoting to a more guided, editorial style for flattering couples portraits and formal family photos.
Do you help us with posing?
Absolutely! Most of our couples have never been professionally photographed before, and that’s completely okay.
We’ll guide you every step of the way with easy, natural posing that feels comfortable and looks effortless. We want your photographs to reflect your personalities, not a series of awkward poses. Our job is to help you relax, have fun, and enjoy the experience while creating beautiful images together.
How many hours of wedding photography do we need?
Every wedding is different, which is why we don’t believe there’s a one-size-fits-all answer.
We’ll learn more about your plans, your timeline, and the moments that are most important to you before recommending the amount of coverage. Whether you’re planning an intimate celebration or a full-day wedding, we’ll help you choose the collection that best fits your day.
Will you help us plan our photography timeline?
Yes! We know wedding timelines can feel overwhelming, especially if you’ve never planned a wedding before.
We’ll help you determine how much time to allow for getting ready, family portraits, your couple’s portraits, and all the important moments throughout the day. We also work closely with your wedding planner and vendor team to help everything flow as smoothly as possible.
What if we’re running behind schedule?
Wedding days don’t always go exactly as planned, and that’s perfectly normal.
We’ve photographed weddings for over 15 years, so we’ve learned how to stay flexible and adapt throughout the day. If the timeline shifts, we’ll work together with your planner and vendors to make the most of the time available while ensuring the moments that matter most are beautifully documented.
What happens if it rains?
A little rain doesn’t stop us from creating beautiful images. We’ll work with your venue, find covered areas, embrace clear umbrellas if needed, and make the best of the situation. Sometimes unexpected weather creates the most memorable and unique photographs.
How many photographs will we receive?
You'll recieve all images taken. Every wedding is unique, We do not put a limit on the number of images you'll recieve. The number of images varies depending on the amount of coverage, the size of your celebration, and everything that unfolds throughout the day.
Our priority is delivering a complete gallery that tells the full story of your wedding from the smallest details to the biggest celebrations.
How long will it take to receive our wedding gallery?
You'll recieve all photos taken the following day. The online Gallery will be ready within 2-3 weeks. Every image within the gallery is individually reviewed and professionally edited to ensure your gallery reflects the quality and care your memories deserve. We’ll discuss our current turnaround time with you before your wedding so you’ll know exactly what to expect.
Can we customize a wedding collection?
Absolutely.
Every wedding is different, and we’re happy to discuss options that best fit your celebration. If one of our collections isn’t exactly what you’re looking for, let’s talk. We’ll do our best to create a collection that meets your needs while ensuring you have the coverage that’s most important to you.
Do we need to provide a family photo list?
Not at all! we’ve photographed just about every family combination you can imagine, and we have a natural flow that helps keep family portraits organized and moving smoothly.
That being said, every family is different. If there are any special groupings or important family members you’d love to include—such as grandparents, godparents, blended family members, or loved ones traveling from out of town—feel free to let us know ahead of time.
We’re always happy to work with you and make sure the people who matter most are included. Our goal is to make family portraits simple, relaxed, and stress-free so you can spend more time enjoying your day with the people you love.
Do You travel for destination weddings?
Absolutely! We love photographing weddings beyond our local service area. Whether you’re planning a destination wedding, a weekend celebration, or a wedding in another state, we’d be happy to discuss the details. Travel costs vary depending on the location, and we’ll provide a custom quote so everything is clear from the start.
Do you bring backup equipment?
Yes — we always come prepared. We photograph every wedding with professional backup cameras, lenses, lighting equipment, memory cards, and batteries. Weddings can’t be repeated, so being prepared is simply part of how we care for our couples and their memories.
Do you require a retainer to reserve our wedding date?
Yes. Once you decide that we are the right fit for your wedding day, we require a signed agreement and retainer to officially reserve your date.
